Oh yeah. I can't really explain why.... several reasons, I suppose... but this was the most fun con I've been to. I was really fond of the old location, and was afraid the new one wouldn't work as well. I miss the window displays, for example. However, you could still get around from event to event quickly - the hotel staff were nice, and inobtrusive. And though there were a few problems getting used to the new locations, they should be swiftly worked out next time. We still have cosplay under the stars, though the 10pm sound curfew worried me a bit... most of the live programming was outdoors, which I like. And it seemed like people were friendlier to me than usual - I guess you're all getting used to me.

Yep, usually at the end of a con, you're exhausted, and kinda looking forward to going home to rest - but this time, yea, I was exhausted, but would've liked to stay another day. I was having a good time.

At the moment, I'm too poor to develop the films, so that'll probably be in a week. However, let's get going on the digital. I'll divide these up by days, for a bit of easier access; the pool gets it's own page, and:

Here's kind of a first. Klint (Obsessed With Anime) and I shared a room this time... so one night, we set up a mini studio and forced Pegasus Maiden to submit to our wills. A few lights, a backdrop, and a lot of time on our hands - we got some pretty nice shots. I'll put up mine here, and I'm sure you can find his at obsessedwithanime.com

The success of these photos has kind of (re)inspired me - I haven't done any studio kind of stuff for a long time, though I used to do it in the past. Along with the prodding from PM, I've decided to start doing some private shoots. Klint and I are planning to do the same kind of setup at Sakuracon next spring, so let us know if you're interested. Or if you're local to me (Northern California) contact me (or Pegasus Maiden, if you want; it's her responsibilty for getting me all fired up. I guess she's management.)

So tonight, Friday and PM goes up - following soon will be the infamous FF Swimsuit shots, and Saturday. (depends on how much I need all that sleep I missed - I got the customary 3 hours of sleep a night, or so, plus drove down and back.)
